N. Franklin's Personal Testimony
I was born in a Christian family. My father is a pastor and a government school teacher. My mother is also a believer and a government teacher. I am the second son of my parents. I have two brothers and two sisters. Due to my parents job I studied my elementary education in a small village. From primary to high school I studied in my native place. From my childhood, I attended Sunday school, but I did not have a born again experience. After my 12th form [equal to our junior college], I went to study a Physical Director [physical education instructor] course at another place. By God's abundant grace soon after my course was completed, I got a job in a private Christian school in the city of Hyderabad. When I got the job, I was only 18 years old, and a very young man on the staff. Some of the other teachers used to call me a "child teacher." I was not able to adjust to the staff and children, because I was shorter than many of the children, and all of the other senior staff members. At that time, I prayed to God to help me to work there.

Slowly I began to study my Degree course and I completed my P. G. course there. During this time, I spent much time with friends doing unproductive things, even though I was attending the church regularly at the same time. But in 1990, the Lord called me to be His son. I accepted Him as my personal Saviour, and from then onwards my life has been changed. I started to work for God. I Attended seminars, conducted Christian programs, was involved in saturation evangelism, conducted children programs, and whenever our brothers come to our city, like Dan Martin, I assisted with their program. Now, instead of spending time frivolously, I am working with God.

In 1997, God give me a wonderful wife, Vijaya Kumari, who is a believer and knows the Lord from child hood. I shared with her my feelings about my great burden for the orphanage, and how the children are spoiling their lives and becoming thieves. Instead of becoming productive citizens, they become a problem to the Nation. Jesus said, "Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it." She happily agreed to share my burden for these children, and to work for them. Our intentions were to give them shelter and food, provide a good education and at the same time train them for God's service. They have to complete their 10th standard [high school] and then continue to study the Bible course or to work for their real Father and God. Our goal is that they be blessed by God, and also become good citizens to our nation.

I placed my burden before God and left my secure job of 10 years, and started an orphanage . We lean on God while moving forward. What seems like a burden to us is not a burden to God. He knows all, and we pray and trust everything to Him. Only He can give the answer to our prayers. We request you please pray that God will certainly strengthen and lead us in the right way. God blessed us with a baby child, Shulamite, who is now 3 years old, and just recently we are were blessed with another child, Elaine Ruth. Please pray for our family.
